Eternal's Youngest Team Member
Dec 21, 2010 - Sparks, NV – Eternal Sports announced that 5-year-old Bailey Duran has joined the Eternal Snowboard Team. Duran joins several professional snowboarders including Travis Kennedy, Jake Devine and Andrew Brewer on the Team, and will compete in snowboarding competitions across the country this year representing Eternal Sports.
Bailey Duran's representatives contacted Eternal regarding possible sponsorship opportunities, and the snowboard shop immediately jumped at the chance to support the talented young Duran, offering their support in the form of product and promotion. Eternal has supported progressive snowboarders since 1995 when they sponsored Peter Line, who later co-founded Forum Snowboards. Young Duran displays considerable talent at 5 years old, and is expected to continue to progress and develop her skill.
Bailey Duran began snowboarding at the age of four last year in Vermont and has traveled with her family to the Lake Tahoe area to film with snowboard filmmaker First Tracks Productions. Her second season snowboarding began with help from her first and only sponsor, Eternal Sports who is supplying Duran with snowboarding gear and clothing.
Duran kicked off her competitive snowboarding career last weekend taking First Place in her first two snowboard competitions. Duran's two wins have qualified her for the 2011 United States of America Snowboard Association (USASA) national competition in April, 2011.
